ReNex
Advanced sound design shouldn't come with an inaccessible price tag.
Introducing ReNex, a powerful sound-design synthesizer by OddNote, built to put advanced synthesis tools into the hands of more producers.

Three wavetable oscillators with live 2D and 3D views of every table.
ReNex is in beta. It has been tested extensively on its own, but not yet in every DAW. Beta testers help us find the rest.
Advanced synthesis, within reach.
Combining flexible wavetable synthesis with built-in harmonic manipulation and spectral morphing engines, ReNex gives producers deeper control over the structure, movement, and character of their sounds.
Sculpt individual harmonics, transform spectral characteristics, create evolving textures, and explore new sonic possibilities, all within one creative environment.
Whether you're designing basses, evolving atmospheres, experimental textures, or sounds entirely of your own, ReNex is designed to give you the freedom to explore without the barriers of expensive software.
Why ReNex
Affordable access to advanced synthesis
Harmonic editing, spectral morphing and a full effects rack are built into ReNex. It is priced to put advanced sound design within reach of more producers.
Professional-level creative flexibility
Three oscillators with four engines, deep modulation routing and a 12-slot effects rack leave room to build the sound you hear in your head.
Powerful sound-design capabilities
Warp, FM and ring modulation, harmonic drawing, spectral morphing and your own imported wavetables, all inside one instrument.
Intuitive for beginners and experts
Drag any modulation source onto any knob, see everything that is moving in one matrix, and start from factory presets while you learn.
Advanced harmonic and spectral processing
Draw harmonics frame by frame, morph spectra between oscillators, and refine the result with spectral EQ and spectral macros.
A complete creative environment
Oscillators, filters, modulation, effects, presets and import tools in a single window, from first idea to finished sound.
Harmonic manipulation
Shape Sound at Its Source.
Go deeper than traditional waveform editing. ReNex's harmonic manipulation tools give producers direct creative control over the harmonic structure of their sounds, unlocking new possibilities for timbre, texture, and tonal shaping.

Everything in one instrument
Three oscillators, four engines
Each oscillator runs as a wavetable, sampler, granular or spectral engine, with up to seven unison voices, detune and spread. An oscillator can be muted from the mix and still modulate another.

Drag-and-drop modulation
Three LFOs with drawable shapes, two envelopes and eight macros. Drop any source on any control; a matrix of up to 96 routings keeps the full picture in one place.

Effects rack
Up to 12 effect instances from 15 types, in serial stages and parallel lanes. Includes a 16-band EQ, a spectral EQ and time-manipulation effects, each with its own modulatable parameters.

Import your own wavetables
Drop in audio or prepared wavetables. Choose how audio is sliced into frames, preview and trim it, then keep the result in your user library. Imported tables are saved inside your project.

Presets that stay out of your way
A preset browser with favourites, categories and unsaved-change warnings. Factory presets are protected, and your own are plain files you can back up.

And there is more
Warp and bend
Bend, phase distortion, sync compress, pulse and wavefold shaping, plus FM, phase modulation and ring modulation using another oscillator as the source.
Harmonic editor
Draw the level and phase of every harmonic of a wavetable frame, with tools to smooth, tilt, isolate, silence or randomise them, and hear the result on a held note.
Spectral morphing
Blend the spectra of your oscillators, transfer formants between them, and shape the result with spectral character and macro controls.
Start from a wavetable (one of the built-in or stock tables, or any audio file you drop onto an oscillator) and sculpt it: warp it, draw its harmonics, morph between frames, and let LFOs, envelopes and eight macros move it.
Modulation is direct. Drag an LFO onto any knob, on any page, and a coloured arc shows how far and how fast it moves. Everything you assign collects in one routing matrix, so you can always see what is driving what.
ReNex is built by OddNote Audio, an independent studio. It is currently in beta on Windows.
